With the blinkers on. This is the calling card of all Toronto drivers when they want to park illegally. I don't understand why parking enforcement and the police tolerate it.
The blinkers mean "Stop! there is an emergency! I need help!" Imagine if whenever someone did this everyone stopped to "help them"? ;-)
Which also means that if someone really IS in need of assistance, the blinkers will not work to alert anyone, since most drivers put their blinkers only so that they can "get away" with parking illegally.
I often bike by people with their blinkers on (if they are still in the car) and ask them what's wrong with their car. :-)
College and Spadina, Toronto, ON
This Beck taxi #3235 was parked in the westbound bike lane just west of Spadina on College at around ten minutes to 3pm on Monday June 23,2008. He came out of his cab and I told him that it was illegal to park there and that he was endangering my life by parking there. He refused to move and walked away telling me to f**k off.
