Another pick-em-up truck on Runnymede, outside the subway station. Well, I guess that's what pickup trucks are for, right?

Typical to find people parked here infront of McDonald's and the Runnymede Subway station, at any time of day not just rush hour. This was at about 1:00pm.

This section of bike lane is pretty useless at the best of times. The pavement is borderline rubble, it's almost completely in the door-zone, and you get people parking in it all the time. In this case it's a huge truck parked facing the wrong direction.

It's OK to park in the bike lane to shuffle your fat ass into the McD's, as long as you put your blinkers on.

Typical scene.... Someone parked outside the McDonald's at Runnymede Station. This time it's DanMac Plumbing & Drain Ltd.

Another lazy-ass parking next to McDonald's. This time it's a truck from A&A Bumpers and Fenders Ltd.

Both of these vehicles were unattended, but they had their hazard lights on. I guess that means it's OK to park illegally, even when there are open and legal spaces just a few metres north.

When it's raining, the lazy asses that go to the McDonald's next to Runnymede Station are even more likely to park in the bike lane. Parking a few metres north in the legal parking spaces might put too much strain on their clogged up hearts, and hey...they might get hit with a few drops of rain.

This dirty backhoe was parked in the bike lane on Runnymede, in front of the McDonald's by Runnymede Station.

I don't normally post photos of construction vehicles, because they usually have a real reason for being there. However, in this case, the construction is a few hundred metres further north on Runnymede, with plenty of parking spaces in between. This was probably just some lazy ass parking here to go to McDonald's.

Is it just me, or does it seem like there's a disproportionate number of BMW drivers who drive like assholes and park in bike lanes?

Why do they bother making this a bike lane? It's just used as a drop-off, pick-up, Mickey-Dee's takeout, idling area. And for parts of it, it seems to actually be legal to park there.

I turned the corner onto Runnymede this morning and there were 3 cars lined up in the bike lane in front of me. I only caught photos of two of them.

Kingsboro cabbie #2948 rounds out the fourth bike lane parker at Runnymede Station. I barely had time to photograph all these violations, there were so many of them.

Bike lanes are a great place to sit around idling your SUV. The "drivesafe" sticker in the back window is a nice touch.

Parked and idling in the bike lane. Right next to a "No Parking" sign. Right under a "No Idling" sign. Right beside a park where people are sitting around trying to catch a few breaths of fresh air. Keep up the good work, Hyundai driver!

Runnymede and Bloor. The bike lane here runs directly into a taxi stand. This cab, however, was parked in the bike lane itself, not in the taxi stand.

It's a crappy bike lane design overall, especially when it dumps cyclists right into the ass-end of idling cabs.

The bike lanes around Runnymede subway station make great places to park a taxi.

This is my first time seeing this happen. Towards the end of the Runnymede bike lane right before Bloor, a taxi driver was taking advantage of the extended taxi stand (aka bike lane). A couple of bike cops were there giving him a ticket. If you look closely at the signs, it basically says, "No parking! The taxi stand is over there!". But this dude wasn't paying attention.
