Left running on Runnymede
Runnymede and Annette, Toronto, ON
Van parked in the bike lane on Runnymede and Annette. I bet at least 50 cars park here every day, as there's almost always one when I go by. There are usually lots of empty legal spaces just a few metres ahead too, but these motorists are too lazy to walk an extra 10 seconds. This one was even too lazy to turn off the engine, so it was left unattended and idling while the driver went to the store, which is also illegal.
License plate 822 ZVN.
Just idling in the bike lane...
Beverley and Stephanie, Toronto, ON
Idling away in the bike lane. Moved after I took a few photos.
Morning Yoga in the SUV?
Runnymede and Annette, Toronto, ON
Parked in the bike lane, idling the SUV.
Way to go....
Lakeshore Blvd W, Toronto, ON
Way to go... Barely entered the city on Lakeshore Blvd., and there's already a pickup truck parked in the very start of the bike lane. Driver wasn't in the vehicle, but it was sitting there idling. Could have gone a few metres further and found there were plenty of parking spaces.
Welcome to Toronto...I hope you don't stay long.
Busy Day at Runnymede and Annette (Part III)
Runnymede and Annette, Toronto, ON
Third one at Runnymede and Annette today. This one was on the opposite side of the road (northbound).
She had pulled over into the bike lane and left the car idling while looking at a clothing rack outside the shop.
Bad parking/idling job
Runnymede and Dundas, Toronto, ON
It's a legal parking space, but this person decided to use only half of it while sitting around idling her SUV.
SUV Idling in the Bike Lane
Runnymede and Annette, Toronto, ON
Bike lanes are a great place to sit around idling your SUV. The "drivesafe" sticker in the back window is a nice touch.
SUV Idler
Runnymede and Bloor, Toronto, ON
Parked and idling in the bike lane. Right next to a "No Parking" sign. Right under a "No Idling" sign. Right beside a park where people are sitting around trying to catch a few breaths of fresh air. Keep up the good work, Hyundai driver!
(Note: The car closer to me is parked legally. It's the SUV that is parked illegally.)
SUV on Sidewalk and Bike Lane
Poplar Plains, Toronto, ON
Yes, it's OK to park your SUV simultaneously on the sidewalk and in the bike lane when you're picking someone up. Nevermind the fact that there are driveways with empty space that you can park in. Feel free to idle your vehicle while you're there too.
Cell Phone Yakker in Bike Lane
St. George St. and Harbord St., Toronto, ON
Southbound bike lane on St. George, just south of Harbord. At least this guy had the decency to pull over into the bike lane to yak on his cellphone!
