AEDV 664 on Davenport
Davenport and Symington, Toronto, ON
Another one parked in the bike lane.
It would be OK for a motorist to be here if they had merged in to the bike lane to turn right, but this was definitely not the case here. They were parked in the bike lane just to go to the store.
AMMM....don't park here
College and Spadina, Toronto, ON
Started to pull out of the bike lane when I rode up with my camera.
Just the usual
Runnymede and Annette, Toronto, ON
Bike lane stripe, bike symbol, No Parking sign, diamond lane sign, and bike route sign are no match for this minivan, license plate AMAE 994.
Little Bee parking spot
Runnymede and Annette, Toronto, ON
Toronto's most prolific bike lane parker.
Typical Queen's Quay scene
Queen's Quay and Bathurst, Toronto, ON
Pretty much always someone parked in the bike lane here.
Left running on Runnymede
Runnymede and Annette, Toronto, ON
Van parked in the bike lane on Runnymede and Annette. I bet at least 50 cars park here every day, as there's almost always one when I go by. There are usually lots of empty legal spaces just a few metres ahead too, but these motorists are too lazy to walk an extra 10 seconds. This one was even too lazy to turn off the engine, so it was left unattended and idling while the driver went to the store, which is also illegal.
License plate 822 ZVN.
BUSHMAN75 on The Queensway
The Queensway and Windemere, Toronto, ON
Dumb license plate, dumb driver parked and idling in the bike lane. Use the parking lot!
Beverley Parking Lot #2
Beverley and D'arcy, Toronto, ON
Starting from the back, here's the first closeup.
I Believe in Sick Kids
Runnymede and Annette, Toronto, ON
The sticker on the back of this unattended idling minivan in the bike lane brings a tear to my eye: "I Believe in Sick Kids".
Yeah, well I believe in *healthy* kids, LAVDEEP.
Unloading on College
College and Bathurst, Toronto, ON
Unloading boxes of liquor to a bar on College. Working or not, stay out of my lane!
Little Bee Again
Runnymede and Annette, Toronto, ON
Same van, same place.
Today there were some bike cops at just across the street. I chatted with them briefly and told them there are ALWAYS people parked in the bike lanes along here.
The cop's response was basically that it's a parking enforcement issue, not theirs. They rarely give tickets. Not sure what they really do when they ride around then....at the very least, I think they should tell the drivers to move along.
Good morning Little Bee!
Runnymede and Annette, Toronto, ON
Parked in the same place as usual. Doesn't seem like they put much effort into getting in and out of there quickly either.
Little Bee in the Bike Lane
Runnymede and Annette, Toronto, ON
Sixth time. This guy is always parked here.
I wonder why they bothered making this bike lane. It's always full of parked cars, and much of it is in really lumpy door-zones.
They should fix it and enforce it, or get rid of it and lay down some sharrows or something.
Prolific Bike Lane Parker
Runnymede and Annette, Toronto, ON
This one is parked here in front of the Little Bee Mart very often, at different times of day. Fifth violation.
After Math on the Bike Lane
Harbord and Euclid, Toronto, ON
Some guy in a minivan...talking on his cellphone, while parked in the bike lane and on the sidewalk in front of "After Math" at Harbord and Euclid.
My 100th post to mybikelane.com. Yippee....
Minivan Parking
Runnymede and Dundas, Toronto, ON
This guy started to drive away just as I was taking the photo. Not sure why he couldn't just use the parking spaces a few metres ahead instead of parking in the bike lane....
Convenience Parking
Runnymede and Annette, Toronto, ON
Parked at the Little Bee Convenience Store at Runnymede and Annette. Repeat offender.
Another Van in the Usual Place
Runnymede and Annette, Toronto, ON
Another in front of the convenience store and yoga place on Runnymede at Annette. There's pretty much ALWAYS someone parked here.
Runnymede Repeater
Runnymede and Annette, Toronto, ON
This is at least the third time I've seen this one parked in the exact same place.
I was about to feel bad for the driver, as it looks like he's the store owner and was parked there to bring in some supplies. However, after he unloaded, he went and parked in the back.
Morning Delivery?
Runnymede and Annette, Toronto, ON
I thought I would ride up Runnymede on my way to work this morning to see if it was any different than during the evening rush hour.
Nope, same old thing. People parked in the bike lane in front of the Little Bee Mart convenience store.
There was another one parked in front of this van too, but I didn't get a photo.
Busy Day at Runnymede and Annette (Part II)
Runnymede and Annette, Toronto, ON
This one was parked illegally, right in front of the previous one.
Sometime it seems that as soon as one motorist violates a bike lane, others just start doing it too.
That's AWFL
college and huron, Toronto, ON
Another person "just waiting" to pick somebody up. Your license plate says it all, "just awfl"
Park'n'ride in the bike lane
Runnymede and Bloor, Toronto, ON
Another one parked in the end of the bike lane on Runnymede, southbound just north of the subway station.
Pretty much guaranteed to have people parked here during rush hour. Looks like it's a big pickup zone.
I told this guy he was parked illegally, but he didn't seem to care.
Hangin' at Robarts
St. George and Harbord, Toronto, ON
Here we see another minivanlican parked in the bike lane. Hopefully the driver will be enlightened at the uni and stop parking in bike lanes.
Another Poor Parking Job
davenport road and hazelton ave, Toronto, ON
Here is another example of a terrifically lazy parking job on Davenport.
Minivan slightly parked in the bike lane
college and spadina, Toronto, ON
Look at all those lovely street cars. Now there is a reasonable way to get around town. Minivans? Not so great.
Family in minivan at Bathurst and college
Bathurst and College, Toronto, ON
These folks were having a nice conversation, probably about idling while parked in the bike lane.
