Typical scene as motorists park illegally in the bike lane at Runnymede and Annette.
Real Women Park in Bike Lanes
Runnymede and St. Johns, Toronto, ON
A van and trailer blocking the bike lane on Runnymede Rd. at St. Johns Rd. Could have backed up some more not to block so much bike lane.
Van license plate is 282 4NA, and trailer license plate is C51 61X.
Beverley Parking Lot #1
Beverley and D'arcy, Toronto, ON
Holy shit! There were 7 cars parked in this bike lane when I rode by. One got away before I took the group shot, and this van in the middle drove away before I got a close-up.

Beverley and D'Arcy, Toronto, ON
Second van in a row, this time it belongs to Rogers.
Van on Runnymede

Parked in the bike lane....lots of free spots just south of here. Same old story....lazy motorists.
I'm parking in it
Runnymede and Bloor, Toronto, ON
Typical scene.... Someone parked outside the McDonald's at Runnymede Station. This time it's DanMac Plumbing & Drain Ltd.
Eavestrough Solutions
Runnymede and Annette, Toronto, ON
Not sure if these eavestrough people were here for the convenience store, or maybe their morning yoga.... but in any case, they were parked in the bike lane.
Idiot on College
College St and Euclid Ave, Toronto, ON
Apparently he's just waiting for his boss because there's "no other parking. Would you like me to block the traffic lane?" Well, I don't know what makes blocking the bike lane any better, jerkface; it ain't parking space either! He was still sitting there after my trip to Soundscapes and the bank.
Runnymede and Annette....
Runnymede and Annette, Toronto, ON
They seem to be parking on this north corner more often now.
Notice that the license plate on the back is completely obscured by some kind of grill?
Lakeshore Hazard
Lakeshore Blvd W, Toronto, ON
The person driving this van probably didn't even really know he/she was blocking part of a bike lane. In any case, the drivers of such large vehicles should pay more attention to where and how they park anyway.
This is a case of very bad design. Eastbound on Lakeshore in Etobicoke, the bike lane is striped right behind angle-parking spaces. This causes two major problems: 1) longer vehicles end up sticking out into the bike lane. 2) Vehicles backing out of the parking spaces often can't see what's coming up behind them in the bike lane, especially if there's another large vehicle beside them blocking the view to the right.
Unloading
Davenport and Perth, Toronto, ON
Wet Basement Construction using the bike lane for unloading. The guy on the left gave some snarky reply about loading when I asked him why he's parked in the bike lane.
The guy on the left (with closeup pic) was partially redeemed for wearing a Lonodon Calling t-shirt. Rock on.
The View From The Patio #5
College and Bathurst, Toronto, ON
These folks were the entertainment for the night. They were parked in th bike lane for quite a while as they unloaded their musical equipment for the show.
The View From The Patio #4
College and Bathurst, Toronto, ON
This gentleman was delivering newspapers. He almost made it into a parking spot.
Davenport Bike Lane Convoy #1
Davenport and Symington, Toronto, ON
This bunch of motor vehicles were parked in/around the Davenport Bike Lane near Symington. I blanked out the license plate of the closest vehicle because it was actually parked legally. The van, however, is not parked legally. It's in the bike lane and there's a "NO STANDING" sign right above it.
What is it About Vans and Bike Lanes?
college and augusta, Toronto, ON
I assume that there must be giant magnets underneath all bike lanes that only attract these giant butt ugly vans. Find a real parking spot for the scout troop next time, MacGuyver.
Purolator Doin' the Rounds
bay and davenport, Toronto, ON
They can park anywhere they want, because they are delivering.
Queens Quay Parker
Queen's Quay W and Bathurst St., Toronto, ON
Living in Toronto for a couple of years now, I have NEVER rode through this stretch of Queen's Quay and NOT seen someone parked in the bike lanes here. They are always there, picking people up at the condos, worker/contractor vans, taxis, etc..etc.. It's a really busy stretch of bike lane too, being part of the Martin Goodman Trail system. There were two or three other motorists parked there when I was approaching, but they left before I got there.
Humpty Dumpty Sat in the Bike Lane
College St. and Spadina Ave., Toronto, ON
Humpty Dumpty truck parked in the eastbound bike lane on College St., just east of Spadina.
Construction van blocking bike lane
Harbord St. and Montrose Ave., Toronto, ON
Parked just in front of the previous white van (255 1VA). Not only was this guy blocking the bike lane, but he was parked on the sidewalk with the side doors wide open.
Stopped for more than a quickie
Harbord St. and Montrose Ave., Toronto, ON
Eastbound bike lane on Harbourd at Montrose. These guys were obviously using the bike lane for parking their vans for the long-term. Building materials and tools were unloaded from the vans and taking up the bike lane too.
